A Harry Potter fic...
Title: Ocean Winds
Author:
babygray
Pairing: Snape/Harry
Warnings: Typos. No beta. Kissing.
Disclaimer: This is just fanfiction, non-profit and just for fun.
Notes: Watching TV this afternoon, one of the shows were asking 'What do you want to do this summer?' I took it up and rolled with it.
Word Count: 322
Summary: Snape and Potter at the beach, with parasol.
The rented parasol jerked in the strong ocean winds, threatening to fly out and away from him. He tied his hair back, his eyes on Potter as he waded back up to the shore. The bathing shorts he wore clung to his legs as he walked ungainly on the sand.
Potter’s feet were covered with sand. His body was flecked with salt. His hair was stiff with seawater. He ducked underneath the parasol, taking care to not step onto the blanket laid out underneath the beach chair.
“Aren’t you going in? The water’s great.” Potter said, staring down at Snape’s head.
“No.” Snape said, his eyes on the rolling waves.
“Why not?” Potter said. He plucked at Snape’s thin summer robes. “Aren’t you hot under those things?”
“I have sensitive skin,” Snape said.
“You can always wear one of those old-fashioned bathing suits Mr. Weasley wears.” Potter suggested. Snape grimaced at the suggestion. “Or maybe a wet suit? They usually come in black.” Potter stooped down and looked at Snape’s face. The pout on his lips was rather delectable. “Is there any way I can convince you?”
Snape looked at Potter’s face. It was red from the sun. Potter looked almost shy without his glasses. He reached out and grabbed Potter’s chin gently. “I have no wish to cover myself with sand and brine, Potter. I’m happy enough right here.”
He kissed Potter. He tasted the salt on his skin. He felt the sand scratched against him. He pulled away, licking away the taste of the sea from his upper lip.
“Okay,” Potter said, dazed. I’ll just… yeah…”
Snape tugged him towards him. Potter quickly settled between Snape’s legs and leaned back, pressing his back against Snape’s front. Snape pressed his cheek against Potter’s hair. He stared at the rolling waves and held Potter in a loose embrace.
Potter was smiling.
The strong ocean winds pulled up the parasol, blowing it away.
